Imaging tests to evaluate clogged heart arteries

Ischemic Heart DiseaseAtherosclerosis

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study looks at how well special heart imaging and pressure-based tests can evaluate coronary artery disease (clogged heart arteries). If you had testing for suspected heart artery disease, the study may help doctors compare how these measurements work.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • Your doctor suspected heart artery disease (ischemic heart disease)
  • You already had a heart procedure called ICA (coronary angiography)
  • During that procedure, you had inner-heart imaging or an invasive pressure/physiology test
  • You are not pregnant

NCT07422688Enrolling by invitation
Using light scans to find heart artery blockages

This trial uses a special light-based scan (optical coherence tomography, or OCT) to help doctors see inside your heart arteries and find the exact blockage causing your heart attack. It may help guide treatment more precisely.

NCT06275399Recruiting
Study of plaque and platelets in narrowed heart arteries

This study looks at how plaque buildup and blood platelets interact in partially blocked heart arteries. It might help find better ways to treat people with chronic coronary syndrome.

NCT07286578Recruiting
Using heart CT scans to guide treatment for blocked arteries

This trial is testing whether a special heart CT scan (coronary CT angiography) can help doctors better understand and treat calcium buildup in your heart arteries. If you have a type of heart disease that might need a stent or other procedure, this study could help decide the best approach.

Heart artery disease study: comparing imaging and function tests

This study looks at people with coronary artery disease (narrowed or blocked heart arteries) to see how different imaging and function tests can help predict outcomes. If you've had a heart procedure or test showing blockages, you might be eligible.

Shenyang, Liaoning
NCT06449274Recruiting
Imaging study for heart artery blockages after stenting

This trial uses special imaging (OCT or IVUS) to look at other blockages in your heart arteries that weren't treated during your stent procedure. It helps doctors decide if those blockages might need treatment later.

Harbin, Heilongjiang
NCT07657650Recruiting
Imaging test for heart failure patients before revascularization

This trial uses a special imaging scan to see if heart muscle has damage from blocked arteries. It helps doctors decide if a procedure to open blocked arteries might improve your heart function.
