Who can take part
- You are age 50 or older and having a colonoscopy where doctors follow patients one after another
- You do not have a very strong family history of colon cancer (for example, specific inherited syndromes or several close relatives)
- You do not have serrated polyposis syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease
- Your colonoscopy is not specifically to remove a large growth, and you do not have a blockage in the colon
- You are not currently having GI bleeding, in another study, or hospitalized
- You are able and willing to give written consent (not pregnant)
