Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 80 years old.
  • You are having a colonoscopy for routine screening, follow-up after a polyp, or because of symptoms like anemia or diarrhea.
  • You have not had colorectal cancer, a condition that causes many polyps, or a specific polyp disorder called serrated polyposis syndrome.
  • You have not had part of your colon removed or have inflammatory bowel disease.
  • You do not have active bleeding, need an emergency colonoscopy, or take blood thinners that prevent full polyp removal.
