Comparing two colonoscopy methods for detecting colon polyps

This study compares a newer 3D colonoscopy technique with standard colonoscopy to see which one is better at finding and evaluating polyps in the colon. If you're scheduled for a colonoscopy anyway, you may be able to participate and help doctors learn which method works best.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • Your doctor has already recommended you have a colonoscopy for a medical reason
  • You do not have serious heart, lung, or blood vessel problems that would make colonoscopy unsafe
  • You do not have inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
  • You can complete the full colonoscopy and have a clean colon before the procedure
  • You remember approximately when your last colonoscopy was (if you've had one)
