Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older.
  • Your bladder cancer is mainly urothelial type (and not a small-cell type).
  • Your cancer stage is T2–T3 with no lymph node or distant spread (N0, M0) based on TURBT and scans.
  • You have a recent FDG-PET scan showing no lymph node or metastatic disease within 6 weeks of starting treatment.
  • You had a complete TURBT within 8 weeks before starting chemoradiation (or a newer cystoscopy shows no remaining tumor).
  • You must be well enough for treatment: good kidney/liver/blood counts and able to do chemo plus pelvic radiation; you also must be expected to live at least 6 months.
