Who can take part

  • You have bladder cancer that has grown into the muscle layer of the bladder (called muscle-invasive bladder cancer).
  • You are not able to have surgery to remove the bladder, or you choose not to have surgery.
  • You are willing to have radiation therapy to the bladder.
  • You have had a recent biopsy (TURBT) that shows live cancer cells in your bladder.
  • Your cancer has not spread to distant parts of your body (like lungs, liver, or bones), and you have not had certain types of cancer treatment in the last 12 months.
  • You have good kidney and liver function, and your blood counts are within certain ranges.
