This study tests an “ALERT with GTO” program in middle schools to see how it works for students and possibly school staff. If you attend one of the participating 7th-grade classes, or you are a staff member at those schools, you may be able to take part.

  • You must be in 7th grade at one of the participating middle schools
  • Student participants are usually about 12 to 14 years old
  • You must be attending school during the study at the enrolled school
  • If you are school staff, you must be a teacher/educator at an enrolled school and interested in joining
  • If you don’t meet these school/grade requirements, you cannot join
