Who can take part

  • You are age 19 or older
  • Your cancer is advanced (cannot be removed) or has spread, and it is confirmed as stomach or stomach–esophagus adenocarcinoma
  • You have iron-deficiency anemia (low hemoglobin around 8 to under 11, plus low iron stores by specific blood tests)
  • You have not had palliative chemo medicines yet for advanced/recurrent stomach or GEJ cancer, and you are planning first-line treatment with fluoropyrimidine plus platinum (with possible targeted therapy or immunotherapy)
  • You can likely stay in the study for at least 24 weeks and you are not severely ill (performance status 0 to 2)
  • You meet major safety checks: weight 35 kg or more and kidney/liver function and infections are not too severe
