Who can take part

  • You are between 3 months and 45 years old (including both ages)
  • A clinician diagnosed you with sepsis or a sepsis alert was triggered and a blood culture was ordered
  • If you are asked for a new blood sample, you can have a blood draw or an IV line placed
  • You are not in another research program using extra treatments beyond routine care
  • A parent or legal decision-maker can speak English or Spanish
  • You are not pregnant
