Studying how sugar metabolism affects immune skin cells in psoriasis

Who can take part

  • You are being treated for plaque psoriasis in the dermatology hospital unit at CHU Nice, and it is moderate to severe (PASI 10 or higher).
  • A dermatologist has diagnosed you with plaque psoriasis (you may also have type 2 diabetes).
  • If you are in the control group, you do not have psoriasis or other inflammatory skin conditions (with or without type 2 diabetes).
  • You can agree and sign consent freely (the study does not include minors or people unable to consent).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must be able to have a skin biopsy (you do not have bleeding problems, cannot take blood thinners, are not allergic to numbing medicine like lidocaine, and do not have a history of thick scar growth like keloids).
