Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You are planning a skin surgery with an incision at least 3 cm long
- You can sign consent and come back for a checkup about 3 months later
- Your skin color score is 4 or higher on the study’s 0–10 scale (darker than very light/near-albinism)
- You are not pregnant
- You do not have a known allergy to the suture materials they plan to use
