Spinal cord stimulation study for long-term chemotherapy nerve pain

This trial tests whether spinal cord stimulation can reduce pain and improve quality of life in people with long-lasting nerve pain from chemotherapy (CIPN). Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and were diagnosed with chemotherapy-induced nerve pain (CIPN) for over 6 months after stopping chemo
  • Your lower-leg pain averages 5 or higher out of 10 at enrollment
  • You have tried at least two neuropathy (nerve) pain medicines and they did not adequately control your pain
  • You must have electrical testing showing a pattern of length-dependent peripheral neuropathy (a nerve-length issue)
  • You completed a 10-kHz spinal cord stimulator test for CIPN and had at least a 75% pain reduction during that test
  • You must have stable nerves and stable pain medicine doses, and be able to attend study visits and complete English questionnaires
