  • Child is 4 to 6 years old at the time you sign consent
  • Child received a first chickenpox (varicella) vaccine at least 3 years ago
  • Child has never had chickenpox infection (no past varicella illness)
  • No close contact with someone who has chickenpox in the last 4 weeks
  • Child has had no chickenpox vaccine shots more than once (not 2 or more times)
