Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and need mandibulectomy (lower jaw surgery).
  • Your reconstruction must use a fibula or scapula free flap (a piece of tissue moved from your leg or shoulder area).
  • You can understand study information and participate (including language and thinking ability).
  • You can give informed consent (agree to take part after being told the details).
  • You must be able to get a CT scan of your head close to surgery (within 30 days, and ideally a head CT no later than 6 days before surgery).
