- You have a diagnosis of systemic lupus (SLE) using standard classification criteria
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have a kidney condition from lupus that was confirmed by biopsy as proliferative or membranous lupus nephritis
- You do NOT have antiphospholipid syndrome affecting the kidneys
- You can read and sign the informed consent form (or have support to do so)
