Who can take part
- Teen must be male and between 13 and 17 years old
- Teen must have a diagnosis of depression (major depression or persistent depression)
- Teen must be getting referred for counseling/therapy and/or offered antidepressant medication
- Teen cannot be having immediate or urgent thoughts of self-harm or suicide
- Parent/legal guardian must be able to read and speak English or Spanish
- Parent/legal guardian must be able to read and speak English or Spanish, and help the study team contact the teen as needed
