Who can take part

  • Your child is between 18 and 72 months old
  • A clinician has diagnosed your child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using an ADOS-2 assessment
  • You are the main caregiver and you are at least 18 years old
  • You and your child live in the study’s local recruitment area
  • You speak isiXhosa, isiZulu, Afrikaans, or English
  • Your child does not have a known genetic cause of autism (like fragile X)
