Who can take part
- Be admitted to a participating pediatric hospital inpatient unit where the study runs
- If you are a patient: be age 13 or older and be able to give your assent (agree to surveys) and have a parent/guardian permission (unless in state custody without a present legal guardian)
- If you are a parent/caregiver: you must be able to speak English or one of the listed languages (such as Arabic, Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese, and others)
- If you are staff: be a nurse, resident, medical/nursing student, or hospital leader working on the study unit
- Be available to participate by completing the study surveys/interactions while you’re on the unit
