Who can take part

  • You are a man age 18 to 89 having HoLEP surgery
  • You agree to sign the consent form
  • You can read and answer study questionnaires
  • You cannot have an allergy to furosemide or other loop diuretic “water pills”
  • You cannot have no urine output (anuria) or liver failure
  • Your HoLEP must include catheter removal and a voiding trial at Northwestern Memorial Hospital
