Who can take part
- You are male and age 55 or older
- You are scheduled for a chest (thoracic) cancer operation done with video-assisted technique
- Your surgery is planned more than 7 days after you sign consent
- You are not already taking tamsulosin
- You do not have an allergy to tamsulosin or sulfa medicines
- Your blood pressure at consent is not too low, including no big drop when standing
