Who can take part
- You’re between 18 and 95 years old
- You have inactive gum disease (not currently inflamed or infected)
- On the lower front teeth (teeth #22–27), you have gum recession that fits Cairo’s RT1, RT2, or RT3 type
- You have thin or limited gum tissue and shallow gum space near the cheek side, as measured in the mouth
- You do not smoke now, and if you used to smoke you quit at least 6 months ago
- You are not having current chemo or radiation, not pregnant or nursing, and can follow study visits
