Ultrasound to reduce inflammation in healthy adults

Healthy Subjects

This study tests how ultrasound can safely calm down inflammation signals in the body. It may help researchers find better ways to control inflammation without using standard anti-inflammatory medicines.

Ultrasound scan to study the body’s automatic (stress) responses

This trial tests a low-intensity ultrasound approach while measuring how your nervous system and body respond automatically (like changes in heart rate or stress signals). It may help researchers learn how to stimulate or monitor these responses safely, using imaging and standard monitoring.

Low-intensity ultrasound study during brain MRI

This study tests how low-power focused ultrasound changes brain signals measured during MRI. You may help researchers understand how ultrasound can affect brain activity, even if you don’t have a known brain condition.

Ultrasound treatment for rheumatoid arthritis

This trial tests whether ultrasound waves applied to the spleen can reduce inflammation in adults with rheumatoid arthritis. It is for people with moderate to severe disease who have not tried many biologic medications.

Ultrasound therapy for inflammation in ulcerative colitis

This trial tests if low-intensity ultrasound waves applied to the colon can reduce inflammation in people with active ulcerative colitis. If successful, it could offer a new drug-free way to manage flare-ups.
