  • You should not have any of the listed safety “exclusion” issues (for example MRI/CT safety problems).
  • You should be able to tolerate the scanning environment (no severe claustrophobia).
  • You likely can’t have certain metal or implanted devices that are unsafe for MRI (like pacemakers or neurostimulators).
  • You should not be pregnant, since CT is involved.
  • You should not have certain conditions or medications that affect the brain or heart signals (such as neurologic disorders, heart disease, or many heart medicines).
