Who can take part

  • You have elevated depressive symptoms on a questionnaire (PHQ-9 score 5 or higher), with specific symptom answers on the form
  • If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian can join the baseline interview
  • You can read and write in English well enough to complete study steps
  • You can take part in an MRI scan (no metal/unsafe implants, and you can tolerate being in the scanner)
  • Your medication and sleep routine should be stable recently: no changes in antidepressant/psych meds in the last 2 months, and your sleep schedule should not be seriously disrupted
