  • You are over 18 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with an acute coronary syndrome (a sudden worsening of heart blood flow)
  • Your doctors plan to treat it with a percutaneous coronary intervention (a heart procedure done through the skin using a small tube/catheter)
  • You do not have cancer (malignant tumors)
  • You do not have a serious current infection or advanced liver disease
  • You are willing to sign informed consent
