Who can take part
- You’re 18 to 75 years old.
- You have periampullary adenocarcinoma (often confirmed by biopsy, or diagnosed by a specialist team).
- Your care team says you could safely have either laparoscopic or open surgery (both options are feasible for you).
- The cancer has not spread to distant sites (like liver, peritoneum, distant lymph nodes, or other organs).
- You’re not planning pregnancy or breastfeeding, and you can provide informed consent.
- You don’t have major limits to surgery, such as an ASA health score of 4 or higher, or a BMI over 35.
- You have not had chemo/radiation before surgery, and you aren’t in another clinical trial within the last 3 months.
