Who can take part

  • You (or your legally authorized person) can sign written informed consent
  • You planned to breastfeed your baby as long as possible for the first year
  • Either you took antibiotics for at least 7 days after 32 weeks of pregnancy, or you did not take systemic antibiotics during pregnancy (if in the control group)
  • You will not have only formula feeding or serious concerns that would stop breastfeeding
  • Your delivery is at least 34 weeks of pregnancy
