Who can take part
- Be a child having their first ever febrile UTI (a UTI with fever)
- Have the ultrasound scan planned after the first UTI
- Have never had a previous UTI episode
- Not be taking antibiotic prevention (prophylaxis) for UTIs
- No known prior kidney/urinary tract birth abnormalities (malformations) or cystic kidney/urinary disease
- No prior prenatal ultrasound diagnosis of urinary tract abnormalities (CAKUT), including low amniotic fluid or kidney/urinary structure changes
