- You are being treated for a urinary tract infection as a hospital patient or outpatient
- Your urine infection is caused by E. coli (a specific germ), based on testing
- You currently have—or are expected to get—a suprapubic catheter
- You currently have—or are expected to get—a nephrostomy catheter
- You are willing to take part and follow the study plan as instructed
