This Phase 3 study tests upadacitinib taken by mouth to reduce hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) symptoms and disease activity, and to track side effects. It is for people who have already tried anti-TNF treatments and still had inadequate response or couldn’t tolerate them.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with hidradenitis suppurativa for at least 6 months
  • You tried an anti-TNF medicine for HS for at least 12 weeks (or another biologic for at least 16 weeks), but it didn’t work or you couldn’t tolerate it
  • Your baseline HS exam shows at least 5 abscesses and inflammatory bumps (AN count)
  • You have HS lesions in at least 2 different body areas, and at least one area is Hurley stage II or higher
  • Your draining fistula count at baseline is 20 or less
