Robotic stomach surgery study for early cancer near the top

Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 80 years old.
  • Your stomach tumor is in the upper (proximal) part of the stomach.
  • Your diagnosis has been confirmed as stomach cancer (gastric adenocarcinoma) based on biopsy results.
  • Your cancer stage is early (stage IA or IB, such as T1N0M0 or T1N1M0/T2N0M0).
  • You are planned to have robotic proximal gastrectomy with lymph node removal (D1+/D2), and the team thinks they can remove it completely (R0).
  • You can safely have surgery from a heart/lung standpoint (ASA I to III), and you’ve signed consent.
