Who can take part
- Be 14 to 18 years old and live in Colina, Temuco, or Coyhaique
- Have a parent/guardian who can be reached by phone during the study
- Have a confirmed ongoing H. pylori infection (two positive breath tests within about 3 months)
- Be willing to take part in treatment if your results show H. pylori (or, if you decline, you may still be in the non-treated group)
- Do not have allergy to any antibiotics the study may use
- Not be pregnant and not take immunosuppressing or biologic medicines
