Study tissue and blood samples from heart disease patients

Cardiovascular DiseasesAortic Valve Stenosis

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study builds a biobank, meaning it collects and stores your health information, blood, and possibly heart-related samples to help researchers learn why heart conditions happen. You might join if you have certain heart diagnoses and are having cardiac surgery for a problem other than an aortic valve issue.

  • You are scheduled for cardiac surgery for a problem that is not an aortic valve issue
  • You do not have congenital (born-with) heart disease
  • If you have congenital heart disease, you likely cannot take part
  • You may be asked for consent to store your samples and health data for future research

Heart and blood vessel disease biobank study

This study creates a collection of skin cells (turned into stem cells in a lab) from people with various heart and blood vessel conditions. It aims to find new ways to understand and treat these diseases.

NCT05521503Recruiting
Collecting heart tissue samples for a shared research database

This trial builds a database by collecting and storing biopsy or biopsy-related samples from adults being evaluated for certain heart conditions. It may help researchers study heart disease and amyloidosis by making past tissue samples easier to access for future research.

NCT00985049Recruiting
Study genes from blood flow fluid during aortic valve surgery

This study looks at gene activity in the heart to better understand what is happening during aortic valve surgery. It may help researchers find ways to monitor or improve heart care in the future.

Boston, Massachusetts
NCT06747806Recruiting
A heart surgery biobank study

This study collects tissue samples from children and adults having heart surgery. The samples will help researchers learn more about heart conditions and improve future treatments.

NCT02306200Recruiting
A study to improve heart and aorta health

This trial looks at ways to improve cardiovascular (heart and blood vessel) health, especially conditions that affect the aorta, such as aneurysms, or vascular problems that may run in families. If you have an aortic-related or other cardiovascular diagnosis (or you’re a healthy comparison participant), you may be invited to take part in this health-improvement program.

Donate blood for a heart and metabolism research biobank

This study builds a “biobank,” which is a collection of blood and related samples, to support future research on heart and metabolic (sugar/body-fat) conditions. It may help researchers better understand these diseases and improve future prevention and treatments.
