Who can take part
- You have advanced kidney cancer that is not curable with surgery (locally advanced or metastatic).
- Your cancer got worse after cabozantinib alone, but you previously stayed on cabozantinib for at least 6 months (cabozantinib-sensitive disease).
- You were able to tolerate prior cabozantinib at 60 mg by mouth daily with side effects that were manageable (your doctor decides).
- You have measurable tumors on scans (per RECIST 1.1) and can take part for study follow-ups.
- You are 18 or older, and your general health is good enough to do daily activities (ECOG 0–2).
- Your recent blood and organ tests are in safe ranges (including blood counts, liver, kidney, and urine protein).
