Who can take part
- Both parents are adults (age 18 or older)
- You consent for the study and for the use of past samples (placenta/fetal DNA) or a child’s participation
- The mother’s pregnancy history matches one of these groups: chronic histiocytic intervillositis (CHI), anti-phospholipid syndrome (APS), or a normal consecutive term pregnancy
- For the mother in the CHI group: CHI was confirmed by placenta pathology with CD68 staining
- For the APS group: you have anti-phospholipid syndrome and a history of miscarriage(s)
- For the normal-pregnancy group: this is your third consecutive normal pregnancy ending at term (≥36 weeks) with a healthy baby
