- You are generally healthy for routine dental care (ASA class I or II).
- You are scheduled for gum/periodontal surgery that needs soft-tissue samples, and your plan allows sampling without extra anesthesia.

- You do not have certain immune or inflammatory diseases (like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis).
