Who can take part
- Be the father of a baby born between 22 and 42 weeks of pregnancy (preterm or full term)
- If your baby was born full term (37–42 weeks), your baby’s first days should have been medically “uncomplicated” or undisturbed
- Have enough German to understand study information and participate
- Have written consent from the baby’s custodial parents (you can sign if you qualify)
- Have no major inherited conditions or serious birth malformations in the baby
- Have a hair length of at least 3 cm on the back of your head (so a sample can be taken)
