Who can take part
- You are pregnant and age 18 or older.
- You are in the first or second trimester (before 28 weeks).
- You plan to deliver at CUIMC/NYP.
- You are not currently smoking, drinking alcohol, or using drugs.
- You are not having more than one baby (not a twin or multiple pregnancy).
- You are not taking regular medicines that affect inflammation or heart/blood vessel function (some anti-inflammatory and heart medicines).
