Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • Your cancer (esophageal squamous cell carcinoma) has spread or cannot be removed by surgery, and you have already had one type of treatment for it.
  • You have at least one tumor that can be seen on scans and measured.
  • Your blood counts and organ function (kidneys, liver, blood clotting) are good enough based on standard lab tests.
  • You agree to use effective birth control during and for 3 months after treatment (if you could become pregnant or get someone pregnant), and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
