Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older and have a cough that has lasted 2 weeks or more, plus at least one other symptom like fever, night sweats, or weight loss.
- You are willing to provide sputum (mucus from your lungs), tongue swabs, and urine samples.
- You agree to a follow-up phone call 2 to 3 months after joining the study.
- You have a recent (within 6 months) record of your HIV status and CD4 count, or are willing to get tested for HIV.
- You are not currently taking any medicines for tuberculosis (TB) and have not taken certain antibiotics (like fluoroquinolones) in the last 60 days, or TB prevention medicine in the last 6 months.
