Who can take part

  • You delivered your baby at NorthShore University HealthSystem.
  • You had an ultrasound within 4 weeks of delivery that included good images of the placenta.
  • Your placenta was sent for testing after delivery.
  • You had only one baby (not twins or more).
  • For the forward-looking part: You are currently pregnant and either have fetal growth restriction between 20 and 28 weeks and plan to deliver at NorthShore Highland Park or Evanston Hospital, or you have a healthy pregnancy at 36 to 38 weeks.
