Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a prostate biopsy because of a high PSA level, a fast-rising PSA, or an abnormal digital rectal exam.
  • You are a man 18 years or older.
  • You have not been on an experimental drug in the last 30 days.
  • You are not allergic to the contrast dye used in the ultrasound (perflutren, polyethylene glycol, or Definity).
  • You have never had treatment for prostate cancer, such as hormone therapy.
  • Your doctor believes you are stable enough for the study.
