Who can take part

  • Men aged 18 and older
  • Prostate cancer confirmed by biopsy, with no spread to distant organs
  • High-risk features: Gleason score 8 or higher, PSA over 20, or tumor felt to be stage T3 or higher
  • A candidate for surgery to remove the prostate, with or without removing nearby lymph nodes
  • Good overall health (able to care for yourself) and normal kidney, liver, and blood counts
