Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- Your doctor must have ordered a heart CT scan for one of these reasons: stable chest pain, heart failure, abnormal heart rhythms, acute chest pain needing a specialized scan, planning for heart valve surgery, suspected heart muscle disease, new ECG changes, or elevated troponin (a heart damage marker).
- You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You must have no allergy to the contrast dye used in CT scans and no severe kidney problems (eGFR ≤ 30).
- You must be able to hold your breath for about 5 seconds during the scan.
