Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a type of esophageal cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that has spread to nearby tissues but not to distant organs, and it cannot be surgically removed.
  • You have not had any previous treatment for this cancer, such as chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy.
  • You are in good enough health to have a life expectancy of at least 3 months and can carry out daily activities without help (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • You can provide a sample of your tumor tissue from a biopsy (within the last 6 months) for testing.
