- You are between 10 and 18 years old.
- You are able to read, understand, and speak English.
- You are scheduled to have posterior spinal fusion surgery (a back surgery where the spine is fused from the back).
- You have a smartphone, tablet, or computer that can receive text messages.
- You do not have sleep apnea or any other sleep-related breathing disorder.
- You do not have chronic pain or use prescription pain medicine regularly.
- You do not have a developmental delay that would prevent you from participating.
