Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are scheduled for abdominal or pelvic surgery that lasts at least 2 hours (or any length for phase 3).
- Both ureters are present and working normally.
- You do not have serious heart, lung, kidney, liver, immune problems, diabetes, or active cancer that makes surgery risky.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and will use birth control for at least a week after surgery.
