Who can take part

  • You are a woman aged 18 or older
  • You are planning a nipple-sparing mastectomy (keeping the nipple and areola)
  • Your tumor is more than half a centimeter away from the nipple and areola
  • You have not had radiation to that breast before, and you do not plan to have radiation after surgery
  • Your breast reconstruction will use an implant, not your own body tissue
  • You have not used nicotine (cigarettes, vaping, etc.) in the last 4 weeks
