Who can take part
- You must be between 20 and 100 years old and have muscle pain (for the pain group) OR between 13 and 65 years old with a spine curve of 10 degrees or more (for the scoliosis group).
- You cannot have an active infection, cancer, or blood disorder.
- If you are in the pain group, you cannot have had an injection in the upper back or shoulder muscle in the last 6 months.
- If you are in the scoliosis group, your spine curve must not be due to a birth defect, muscle problem, syndrome, or wear-and-tear, and you must not be pregnant.
