  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your ER doctor has decided you need a blood culture.
  • You have enough recent lab results and vital signs recorded for the computer to make a prediction.
  • You do not have a central line or PICC in place.
  • Your current infection is not likely to be endocarditis, spondylodiscitis, or related to a prosthetic device.
